Autostat™ is a range of heat stabilised polyester films that have low residual shrinkage at elevated temperatures, this is essential when tight registration tolerances need to be maintained during multiple printing operations. Autostat™ CT, AHU, CUS, HT & WT are used for the manufacture of membrane and conventional switch circuitry layers such as computer keyboards. The Autostat™ WP range is suitable for diagnostic test strips The product range: Autostat™ CT a range of clear, pre-treated heat stabilised PET films, available in 75 micron, 100 micron, 125 micron, and 175 micron gauges. Autostat™ AHU a range of hazy, untreated heat stabilised polyester films, available in 75 micron, 100 micron, 125 micron, and 250 micron gauges. Autostat™ CUS a clear, untreated, heat stabilised 125 micron polyester film. Autostat HT is a hazy, pre-treated heat stabilised 125 micron polyester film. Autostat WT is a range of white, pre-treated heat stabilised polyester films available in 75 micron, 125 micron. Thicker gauges may be available, please enquire with you local office. Autostat WP is a range of white, heat stabilised polyester films with an ink primer coating designed to work with inks & enzymes used on diagnostic test strips. Available in 500µ. Autostat WT5 can be used as general printing substrates where a white background is required e.g. labels, insert graphics.
As top circuitry layers, Autostat WT5 back up colours on the graphics overlay increasing their opacity whilst totally hiding the circuitry underneath. The white colour also acts as an excellent reflector for surface mount LED’s.
The adhesion treatment used on the CT, HT and WT grades is industry standard chemistry. This treatment enhances the adhesion of UV curable dielectric ink, but may not be fully compatible with certain conductive silver inks. We recommend the films are fully tested before use.
