MacDermid Autotype Ltd Wins International Safety Award with Merit

The British Safety Council has announced the winners of its prestigious International Safety Awards for 2014, given to organisations in  recognition of their proven commitment to workplace health and safety.

The International Safety Awards scheme, now in its 56th year, is open to UK and international organisations of all sizes across all industries and seeks to promote high standards of health and safety management practice in order to prevent workplace injury and ill health.  The award winners have demonstrated to the judges their commitment and determination to prevent workplace injuries and work-related ill health.

Alex Botha, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated MacDermid Autotype Ltd on its success. “On behalf of the Trustees and staff of the British Safety Council we warmly congratulate MacDermid Autotype Ltd and its employees on gaining an International Safety Award with merit.  All of those working at MacDermid Autotype Ltd have made this award possible, which recognises their dedication and commitment in preventing injury and ill health in the workplace.  It was also apparent that MacDermid Autotype Ltd recognises that getting health and safety right is a business enabler.”

Accepting the award on behalf of MacDermid Autotype Ltd, Peter Gower, the Regulatory Affairs Manager, said, “We are delighted that the British Safety Council has recognised the commitment and effort we put in to ensure every employees’ health and safety and we are proud to have been awarded a merit.  However, we could not have achieved this award without the continued support and co-operation of our employees.  I can’t think of a single person who didn’t get involved in health and safety in some way in the past year, so this award is for all of us.”
