MacDermid Autotype wins major award for investing in people

The award recognises MacDermid Autotype’s on-going commitment to continuously improve its people development processes in support of its business objectives, ensuring that its staff can in turn offer outstanding quality and service for their customers.

MacDermid Autotype’s mission is to apply its technology and expertise to help its customers in the electronics, automotive and printing industries to succeed. Innovation, quality, reliability and customer support have been the core values of MacDermid Autotype since its foundation and these qualities were recognised throughout the report. 

An Investors in People assessor who visited the company told MacDermid Autotype, “Your mission is to help your customers succeed.  You do this through aiming to provide products of high quality in an agreed timescale and managing the customers’ expectations through a relationship that is both honest and ethical. You are determined to offer your customers the best possible service and have designed your structure accordingly.”

The company was first accredited as an Investor in People in October 2003 and was presented with a Bronze Award after a review in 2009. Investors in People commented that MacDermid Autotype’s increasingly high scores and growing collection of awards show that the company values its people and its customers.

“It was very rewarding to encounter such commitment to quality, customer service and the well-being and development of your people,” commented the assessor from Investors in People. “You also demonstrate practice beyond the requirements of Core Standard and have achieved 95 additional evidence requirements out of your choice of 103, which has resulted in you reaching Silver Level. Congratulations on a great result.”

As well as being an Investor in People, MacDermid Autotype also possesses the ISO9001 Standard and the ISO14001 Environmental Standard.
