Job Decription
Based at our Head Office in Oxfordshire, you will work closely with our Improvement and New Product Development teams within the Automotive business unit, using quality problem solving tools and APQP methodologies to help deliver successful product launches and ongoing quality improvement of existing products.
You will be responsible for maintaining, reviewing and updating PFMEAs and Control Plans as issues are identified and resolved . This will ensure that our standard operating documentation reliably prevents or detects known quality issues.
Achieving accreditation of our Quality Management System (QMS) to the TS16949 standard will be the final key objective of this role. This will also encompass responsibility for updating, training, auditing and monitoring the use of the QMS.
Key Responsibilities
- Support automotive customer improvement programmes in the use of automotive approved/best practice quality tools and techniques.
- Lead the development and implementation of a TS16949 standard QMS, ensuring that the effectiveness of, and compliance to our QMS is both maintained and improved.
- Support the use of SPC, Gauge R&R methods and Process Capability studies with the Manufacturing areas of the business.
Requirements
- Background in automotive industry
- Quality orientation
- Good communicator both in written reporting and verbally
- Good computer skills
- Good team working skills with ability to successfully facilitate cross functional teams
- Good interpersonal skills with the tenacity to gain support from others
- European language skills an advantage
Qualifications
- Automotive Quality systems, especially the TS16949 standard
- Quality testing to meet the above
- Degree level or equivalent in quality or engineering related discipline or time-served apprentice
